Are you trying to find a way to notify Google Maps about an error?
How do I correct a wrong street name?
First go to the map page at maps.google.com and SIGN IN.
You will be asked to sign in with your Google Mail account sign in. If you do not have a Google email account I don't know if you can sign in some other way. If you do not have one then you may have to open one, its free.
You will NOT see the “Report a Problem” link in the lower right corner of the map.
To be able to find this link;
Enter your Town name, State, Zip code then Street name in the search field where it says search maps.
Then the map of your town and street will come up. Now you will see the link in the bottom right corner of the map labeled “Report a Problem” - Click on it.
You will then be asked to drag a pointer over the area in question and there will be a box to fill out.
You will want to check the email notification box to get your Google Maps Problem Report ID number by email.
After answering the question & explaining the issue in the box, the program will hopefully accept the report.
Note; you might need to use the misspelling (or other incorrect info) in your search to get the correct area.
If all goes well your info will be submitted and a notice to that fact will show just above the map.
If you do not Sign In you will get the below message when you try to submit the notice.
Google Sorry...
We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
See Google Help for more information.
Google help will suggest that you have a malware running that is auto submitting suff.
This will happen even if you have a reliable Anti virus Anti malware and no automated queries being sent by your system. This even happened with my Google Chrome browser.
Why? Because if you are not signed in the program will assume the request is an automated querie. The capcha bit wasn't on my Sorry page either possibly because there isn't one there or some setting in my security prevented it.
